Hully City Injury Update ahead of crucial Cardiff City clash

Hull City succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at Elland Road last night, and are now at the risk of dropping out of the contention for playoffs after going six games without a victory.

Leeds have been brilliant since the start of the year as they are unbeaten in 15 Championship games and remain the only club yet to lose on home soil this season.

Tigers skipper Lewie Coyle and on-loan defender Ryan Giles will be assessed before heading to Cardiff for their must-win game on Saturday. The Luton defender was subbed off early in the second half with a groin injury whereas Hull captain Coyle injured his back in the latter half of the game. Leeds took advantage of his absence and scored two late goals in the dying embers of the game.

Leeds United vs Hull City Match Summary

The Tigers produced an extraordinary performance against Leeds United who are the favourites to lift the Championship trophy this season despite trailing behind Ipswich Town by just a point.

Late goals from Crysencio Summerville and Dan James saw Leeds secure an emphatic 3-1 win over Hull City and move to second in the Championship table.

Sam Byram scored the opening goal in 9 minutes after Summerville’s shot was saved but Hull City deservedly levelled through Fabio Carvalho’s excellent finish in the 34th minute.

The visitors posed a threat in the second half as Leeds continued to squander crucial opportunities. After Hull captain Lewie Coyle was taken off late in the contest, Summerville and Dan James scored two successive goals to seal the win for Daniel Farke’s men.

Hull now remains ninth in the standings and six points off the play-off spots as their winless run gets extended to six matches in the Championship.
