Real Madrid fulfilled their four-year-long wish, when they signed French star Kylian Mbappe this summer transfer window. President Florentino Perez secured the sensational striker to join the likes of Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo, with a mission to create another “Galactico”.
It’s been two La Liga matches for the defending champions since Mbappe joined, but the 25-year-old is yet to score, and fans are desperate. He did open his tally in Real Madrid’s UEFA Super Cup victory, but a goal in the prime competitions is still pending.
The La Liga giants won their second game in style, but were forced to share spoils in the campaign opener against Mallorca. These are just the early days, but knowing Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid’s level, fans are eager.
Vinicius Jr., one of the top performers for Real Madrid last season and a favourite for the Ballon d’Or this time, shared his admiration, and belief in the new signing. In an interaction with CNN, he said, “I love Mbappe’s style, I love how he plays, and the truth is that I’m very excited about what we can do during the season.”
Kylian Mbappe is the record all-time top scorer in his previous club Paris Saint Germain. Vinicius further said that he feels that his new teammate would score as many goals as he did with PSG and France and that he hopes Mbappe scores “even more”.
Vinicius also shared that he feels that the team has become “unstoppable” after Kylian Mbappe joined. His words unquestionably portray his huge admiration for the French forward. Now, only time will say how soon they pair up well on-field. Real Madrid are set to play Las Palamas next in an away La Liga game.
