Fantasy Premier League GW4: Ideal Lineup and Key Picks to Boost Your Team

After a short international break, the English Premier League 2024-25 is set to continue from where it ended. It’s still early days, but from now the league is starting to gather pace. Gameweek 4 is knocking on doors, and not just the EPL players and coaches but the thousands of Fantasy Premier League managers must be thinking about their next moves wisely now.

The past three game weeks made us witness some close encounters and some matches of absolute dominance. And, it also helped us speculate about how things are set to be as the league progresses. The short international halt must have also altered some of our plans.

So now, without taxing too much of your time, read below to know the ideal lineup for your side in Fantasy Premier League GW4:

Goalkeeper:

Alisson Becker (£5.5 m)

Probably the best player for Liverpool in the Premier League, Alisson has been one of the most consistent GKs in the past few seasons. He has started this season on a superb note too, with three clean sheets in as many games.

The Brazilian is expected to increase his tally of clean sheets, so selecting him for your Fantasy Premier League side would be the safest call. Also, he will be facing some easy opponents in the next three weeks, so selecting him is a long-term gain.

Defenders:

Rico Lewis (£4.7 m)

Not many would have thought that Lewis would be a starter for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. But, he has played full minutes since the beginning of the season, giving valuable points at just a bargain rate of 4.7.

His side will face Brentford next, so a clean sheet is almost a possibility. So, Lewis getting picked in your Fantasy Premier League GW 4 team will ensure you good, safe consistent points.

The Liverpool centre-back is probably the best defender in the Premier League for the past few seasons. He has been the prime reason for Liverpool’s defensive excellence. The Reds have maintained clean sheets in all, and are set to play Nottingham Forest next. Followed by AFC Bournemouth and Wolves. So, picking him will be a long-term point source for your Fantasy Premier League GW 4 team.

Noussair Mazraoui (£4.5 m)

It’s no secret that Manchester United are having a tough time in the league, but their new signing Mazraoui is shining bright in the defence. At just a value of 4.5, he is providing some promising points.

He achieved eight against Fulham and four against Brighton, before Man Utd’s poor performance against Liverpool. His side is expected to bounce back with Southampton to play next. So, picking him can be the best bargain for your Fantasy Premier League side.

Lucas Digne (£4.5 m)

Another 4.5 m defender, Aston Villa’s Digne was a hero in the Leicester City fixture, where he provided a wonderful assist. He averages 3.7 points per game, which is great for someone from defense. Picking him in your Fantasy Premier League GW 4 XI might boost your chances.

Midfielders

Harvey Barnes (£6.4 m)

Barnes has been a regular in the Premier League for some time now. With all his experience, he is proving to be a gem at just 6.4. He is not being used fully, but in the minimal opportunities he gets, he has scored a goal and assist already.

Including Barnes might be a gamble, but seeing his performance against top sides like Tottenham Hotspur, his selection is worth the risk. Playing against Wolves doesn’t look like a challenge to him.

Noni Madueke (£6.6 m)

The Chelsea midfielder scored a brilliant hat trick against Wolves in Gameweek 2. He also tried hard in the third game but couldn’t get a winner. Now, the team will face AFC Bournemouth next, and selecting Noni in this fixture can give you big gains. He averages a massive 11 points per game.

Mohamed Salah (£12.7 m)

Another Liverpool player, Salah is the best performer in the EPL for some seasons now. He has a mammoth prize tag attached to his name, but it’s totally worth it. Salah has given 10 or more points in every gameweek so far.

Not having Salah in your team is rare, and if you are missing him, you will miss on a chunk of points, and pull your rankings below.

At just 5.7, he is arguably the best pick so far. Averaging 7.7 points, contributing in every match, including a goal against Manchester United and Everton each, Welbeck can be the trump card of your FPL eleven.

Erling Haaland (£15.2 m)

The highest scorer from last season has started with a bang this time too. Haaland is in such good form, that he has already struck seven goals in just three games. He has hattricks in the last two games and will be facing a not-so-strong Brentford side this GW. Missing out on him shouldn’t be an option for your Fantasy Premier League side.

Alexander Isak (£8.5 m)

Isak’s value would have looked a bit too much for some before the campaign began. But now, the reason is clear to all. Isak seems to carry his good form from last season, and in the next fixture against Wolves, he is speculated to have some goal contributions. Selecting Isak might also be a game-changer for your FPL side this week.
