One of Inter Miami’s owners, David Beckham was spotted to oversee the training session prior to the home game against St. Louis. Apart from having a little chat with the team captain Lionel Messi, the former Manchester United had his feet on the pitch as well.
Despite 11 years having gone since the last time he played a professional football game, Beckham proved that he still got it. After visiting his “employee”, Beckham posted his activity in the training ground on his Instagram.
David Beckham still got it
“Love starting my day watching the team train and talking football with our captain [love emoji] @lionelmessi @intermiamicf.”
The good mood is all around the corner as Messi’s singing started to show a positive impact. Miami topped the MLS Eastern Conference, collecting 34 points with no players in the league that produced more assists than Messi with his 12 collection.
The Argentinian star is also in the goal scoring race. Only Real Salt Lake’s Cristian Arango (13) and DC United’s Christian Benteke (13) scored more than he did (11). Messi’s teammate Luis Suarez also scored 11 goals after joining the club in December last year.
After hosting St. Louis this weekend, Miami will have to travel for an away game against Philadelphia Union. However, they will not play against Messi in that game as the superstar has to join the national team for the 2024 Copa America.
