Manchester City star Jack Grealish suffered another bout of injury after going off with a groin problem during their 6-2 demolition of Luton Town in FA Cup on Wednesday. Grealish came off after just 38 minutes into the kick-off, much to his dismay as his disappointing season continued following yet another setback.
The most expensive British player of all time, the 28-year-old had originally suffered a groin problem back in February during their Champions League match to Copenhagen. He subsequently missed two games before returning for their Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

On Wednesday evening, he made his first start since that injury, and was forced off with the same issue as Jeremy Doku replaced him in the opening stanza. Grealish tried to hide his disappointment by covering his face with a training top as he entered his side’s dugout after being replaced.

Head coach Pep Guardiola expressed uncertainty over the extent of his injury while speaking to the press after the game. He said:
“I didn’t speak to the doctor but I think it is the groin, maybe quite similar. He felt really really good but unfortunately, he got injured. It’s been a tough season for him, he has to recover well.”
Grealish is a doubt for the upcoming Manchester derby against Manchester United in the league. He’s played only 14 games in the top flight this season and could face another spell on the sidelines.
