Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has made a surprise return to training with the first-team squad for the first time in 10 months. A report confirmed that both Erik ten Hag and Sancho have squashed their beef following their public fallout last year.
Sancho spent the second half of last season with Borussia Dortmund after being banished from the Man United squad and was forced to train with the youth squad before he made a move to Signal Iduna Park in January.
The England international was involved in a public row with Ten Hag but have reportedly held a positive meeting at Carrington Training Centre and has agreed to draw a line under their infamous public spat.
“Jadon Sancho returned for testing on Wednesday following his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund during the second half of last season,” a statement from Manchester United read. “The 24-year-old forward then trained with the group on Thursday.”
But it doesn’t explain whether United will no longer sanction an exit for the 24-year-old. Sancho endured a stellar campaign with Dortmund last year as he scored three goals and provided three assists in 21 games across all competitions and led the Black and Yellow to the Champions League final.
Will Jadon Sancho force an exit this summer?
The 24-year-old winger has only two years remaining on his contract and his future has been the subject of speculation this summer. United are not going to fetch anywhere close to £73 million they spent on the Man City Academy graduate in the summer of 2021.
The Red Devils are reportedly open to offers in the range of £40m but his return to the first-team seems like Ten Hag is exploring options to use Sancho at the start of the new Premier League campaign.
