Jude Bellingham suspended for two games following Real Madrid’s draw against Valencia in La Liga

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham received a red card suspension and has been suspended by La Liga following his team’s 2-2 draw with Valencia. The decision comes after the Englishman used expletives while speaking to referee Jesus Gil Manzano.

As per Spanish outlet Marca, Bellingham has received a two-match ban for saying “It’s a f***ing goal!” to Gil Manzano. The midfielder also received a red card after the full-time whistle.

Jude Bellingham ban after red card against Valencia

Valencia had grabbed a two-goal lead in the first half before Vinicius Junior pulled one back for Real Madrid. The Brazilian scored another in the 70th minute, setting up a tense finale at the Mestalla.

Los Blancos carried good momentum heading into seven minutes of added time at the end of the second half. There were a few breaks in play and the game carried into the eighth added minute. Brahim Diaz delivered a cross into the box that was headed home by Jude Bellingham.

However, referee Jesus Gil Manzano had blown the whistle just before Diaz played his cross. This led to protests from all of Real Madrid’s players, led by Bellingham himself.

Which of Real Madrid’s games will the Englishman miss?

Bellingham’s two-match suspension means he will miss Real Madrid’s next two La Liga games. The first will be against Celta Vigo at home on March 10, as well as their trip to face Osasuna a week later.

The club are expected to appeal Jude Bellingham’s ban as well as his red card, with a decision expected in the coming days. Until then, Bellingham and Los Blancos will have their eyes firmly set on their Champions League round of 16 second leg clash against RB Leipzig.
