Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne to Saudi Arabia? All you need to know

Despite missing over 30 games this season, Kevin De Bruyne remained one of the world’s best players thanks to the fact that the Belgian contributed to 24 goals across all competitions. That tally includes 14 in the Premier League despite De Bruyne playing just 18 games. That combined with Phil Foden and Erling Haaland’s prowess across the field is why Manchester City won their fourth consecutive league title.

Yet with only one year left on his current deal, reports have linked with midfielder with a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer. That includes a potential move to the MLS with De Bruyne reportedly open to signing for San Diego FC. But while De Bruyne was only looking to make the move next summer, the situation seems to have changed with clubs from the Saudi Pro League looming.

Kevin De Bruyne to Saudi Arabia?

As per the Mirror, while De Bruyne reportedly remains not interested in a mega money move to Saudi Arabia, his agents have met with ten Saudi Pro league clubs over the last week. The 32-year-old has attracted a lot of attention from the Middle East as Al Hilal view De Bruyne as a dream move. But nothing has materialized as of yet despite serious interest from several Saudi Pro league clubs.

The report has indicated that while the interest remains, De Bruyne is reportedly set to extend his stay at Manchester City for at least another season before leaving. The Mirror has also added that if the Belgian does leave the Cityzens, he will only do so for the MLS. That is his preferred destination after the Premier League with San Diego reportedly the only side he will join.
