Barcelona has completed the signing of Senegalese defender Mamadou Fall from MLS giants Los Angeles FC. The 21-year-old defender spent the last season on loan with the Catalan giants and made 22 appearances for the reserve team.
Fall is regarded as one of the highly-rated players who broke through with LAFC in 2021 and made 42 appearances for the American side before his loan spells in Spain. The young defender will pen a two-year contract with Barcelona which will be valid until the summer of 2026.
An official statement read: “FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Los Angeles FC for the transfer of player Mamadou Mbacke Fall, who will sign a contract for two seasons, until June 30, 2026, with the option of extending [his contract] for two more years.
“The Senegalese central defender already played last season at Barca Atletic on loan from the American team. The official act of signing the contract will be pending.”
