Jack Grealish teases Erling Haaland
Manchester City superstar Jack Grealish hilariously pointed out to Erling Haaland that he has won more Premier League titles than the Norwegian. City defeated West Ham United 3-1 at the Etihad to win their fourth straight league title.
Grealish has now won three Premier League seasons since joining City from Aston Villa. Haaland, meanwhile, has won the league twice since his 2022 move from Borussia Dortmund.
Grealish made 20 league appearances for City this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Haaland, meanwhile, made 31 PL appearances. He ends the league season with 27 goals and five assists. Haaland has now won the PL Golden Boot in both of his seasons in England. He scored 36 league goals last season.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland reacts to winning the Golden Boot
Erling Haaland has become the first player since Harry Kane to win back-to-back Premier League Golden Boot awards. The Norwegian reacted to the recent feather on his cap, saying (via City’s website):
“Winning the Golden Boot again is very special for me. I am very proud to be able to help this incredible team and my teammates. I have to thank all my teammates for getting this award, the coaches and the staff who work so hard.”
Haaland also became the first Manchester City player ever to win the Golden Boot multiple times. Only Carlos Tevez (2010-11) and Sergio Aguero (2014-15) are the other players to win the award as a City player.
