Manchester United’s current manager Erik Ten Hag is under quite a lot of pressure in terms of keeping his job at the Premier League club. Despite a couple of positive on-field results in recent weeks, the future of ten Hag’s Manchester United job still pretty much hangs up in the air. Amidst all the saga surrounding the Red Devils in recent times, Erik ten Hag to Bundesliga rumours promises to be a savior for the Dutch manager.
Bundesliga clubs likely to poach Erik Ten Hag if the manager runs out of favor at Manchester United
Reported rumours in the English media signify that Manchester United’s hierarchy is willing to appoint current England national team head coach Gareth Southgate as their next manager. However, to establish that, they have to first sack the Red Devils’ current Dutch manager Erik ten Hag. It is where the rumoured reports regarding Erik Ten Hag to Bundesliga slot in. It has been further reported that several Bundesliga clubs are interested in acquiring the services of Erik ten Hag if United does choose to sack him.
The German clubs interested in the manager are reported to be Bayern Munich, Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen. While Xavi Alonso remains Bayern Munich’s first choice in terms of their next managerial appointment to replace Thomas Tuchel, Erik ten Hag is also considered a viable option by the German giants.
What could provide Erik ten Hag a relief in terms of keeping his job at Manchester United?
One could argue that if Manchester United manages to seal a Champions League qualification in the 2023-2024 Premier League season, and they go on to win the FA Cup as well, then the United owners might be tempted to give Erik ten Hag another shot at his managerial position at the club.
It is quite clear that the squad the club has managed to put together does hold significant potential, and they have shown it in the last few weeks. It’s just that it remains to be seen whether the 54-year-old manager will get another season with them or not.
