Defending champions Manchester City secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, February 10. The win saw them temporarily go top of the league with Liverpool set to face Burnley later in the day.

The first half saw the Cityzens assert themselves on the proceedings. They kept the ball for extended spells and looked to tire Everton out early on. They had the ball for nearly three-fourths of the first period but failed to capitalize. With 10 shots attempted, Manchester City failed to hit the target even once. The Toffees, on the other hand, attempted three shots with one on target. Despite their efforts, the teams were deadlocked at 0-0 at the break.
