Manchester United and Real Madrid all set to battle it out for Dani Olmo

Olmo could be available for a bargain this summer

European giants Real Madrid and Manchester United are set to battle it out for RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo this summer. The Spaniard could be available for a bargain price of £52 million, and this has already alerted some big sides around the continent.

Since joining Leipzig from Dinamo Zagreb, Olmo has grown into one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe. He’s struck 28 times and assisted a further 33 goals in 142 games for the Red Bulls in all competitions, while also simultaneously developing into a key player for Spain’s national team.

With some of Europe’s big guns taking notice of his meteoric rise, it’s becoming difficult for Leipzig to hold on to him, as Olmo could move this summer. As per British news outlet Daily Mail, Manchester United and Real Madrid could coming knocking at the player’s door for his signatures. Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in him too.

Ironically, the 25-year-old had only signed a contract extension with Leipzig last year that ran until 2027, but has a clause in his contract that could see Olmo leave the Bundesliga giants for merely £52 million. But with the summer transfer window still a few weeks away, the Spanish international could maintain a tight lip on his future for now.

Olmo returns to action for Leipzig after wrapping up the international break with La Roja on Saturday against Mainz in the Bundesliga.

Dani Olmo has the world at his feet

At 25, Dani Olmo has the world at his feet. His next big move has the potential to shape his future. At Manchester United, he could help revive the club that’s once again struggling with mediocrity, but at Real Madrid, he could be a vital cog in a squad that’s capable of competing for big trophies like the Champions League. Either way, he’s a hot commodity right now, and it will be interesting to see where the player ends up next season.
