Manchester United defender signs a new contract

Manchester United have confirmed the contract extension of Jonny Evans. The veteran defender has penned a new one-year deal to remain at the club until the summer of 2025.

Evans rejoined Manchester United last season as a cover for their defenders. However, he ended up playing a key role in the season following injuries to Raphaël Varane, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martínez.

Erik ten Hag was keen on keeping Evans for another season and the club has now agreed to a new deal with the defender.
