Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has been linked with an exit from the club. Casemiro’s performances during the 2023-24 season were far worse than what he showed in 2022-23. Many have opined that the Brazilian have lost the legs.
Whether Casemiro is a good fit for the Premier League anymore, is under the scanner. Amidst this, Spanish side Marbella FC have made a surprise announcement on Casemiro. Marbella have been promoted to the third division in Spanish football.
Their latest social media post showed Marbella shirt printed Casemiro all over them. The Brazilian midfielder has become a new shareholder of the club. Checkout their social media post below:
Marbella FC release statement on Manchester United midfielder Casemiro
Marbella FC have released a statement detailing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro’s new shareholding at the club. Their statement read (via GOAL):
“Marbella Futbol Club is pleased to announce that Carlos Henrique Casemiro, star of Manchester United, the Brazilian national team and five-time winner of the Champions League, becomes a new shareholder of our entity as of today.”
It further added:
“The enthusiasm and commitment that Casemiro demonstrates with the Marbella FC project are evident with his incorporation into the club’s shareholding structure. Not only Marbella but also the entire city, feel proud that an athlete of his global dimension wants to belong to our family.”
The statement continued:
“The confirmation of Casemiro as a new member of the board of directors is a historic opportunity for the club to continue projecting its institutional and sporting strategy in elite football.”
It concluded:
“With this move, Marbella strengthens its roadmap by allying itself with a strategic partner who will help the general growth of our institution through their experience. The passion, leadership and sense of responsibility that have always guided Casemiro in his professional career are more than justified reasons why from today we open the doors of our house to him. Welcome to Marbella, Case!”
Casemiro’s future has been up in the air and he has been linked with moves to Saudi Pro League clubs as well. Casemiro is also not a part of Brazil’s squad for the Copa America 2024. The Brazilian, however, has invested in new business ventures with Marbella.
