Manchester United have no plans to make a move for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou for the last two summer windows. The Dutchman is still recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in the latter stages of last season.
At present, Manuel Ugarte has been tabbed as the club’s main priority and are in talks with PSG over a potential deal this summer. Earlier it was reported that Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag wants De Jong under his orders once again after the duo spent time together at Ajax.
De Jong’s astronomical wage of €721,154-a-week would dismantle Manchester United’s wage structure, something new owners INEOS are trying to re-balance after years of squandering.
