Mason Mount Injury – Man United star’s return date revealed

Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount is set to return with his teammates after the international break, the manager Erik ten Hag estimated. The Cobham graduate has been out since last November due to injury.

Ten Hag said that Mount’s injury treatment has gone well, as well as other players’ situations from multiple causes.  The Dutchman expects some names to be ready when United face Liverpool for the FA Cup this mid-month.

Mason Mount Injury: England star to miss Liverpool game

“Mason Mount: I think he is in a good spell now and he will return shortly. I think after the international break,” the former Ajax manager said via Manchester Evening. “For next week, some players are planning to return, hopefully when the process will continue like it is now, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka: I expect them to be available for our game against Liverpool. Hojlund as well.”

Mount has been struggling to replicate his performance in his prime with Chelsea. This season alone, the Portsmouth-born had only featured in 12 matches across the competition without scoring.

Before Liverpool, United will face another Merseyside-based side Everton tomorrow in the Premier League. Ten Hag also informed that Marcus Rashford and Johnny Evans are fit for the fixture.

Both players were subbed off in the second half when United lost the Manchester Derby to City last week. The condition is not very much concerning as Rashford has now joined the squad in training.

“That’s the good news,” Ten Hag added. “They (Rashford and Evans) recovered after the derby, so they are available, the rest is the same squad apart from Omari Forson. He dropped out, he has an injury.”

Erik ten Hag’s hope for a Champions League spot is still alive

Stranded in the mid-table of the Premier League, United are still fighting for the Champions League spot. Ten Hag is confident of his team’s progress recently and opts to focus on chasing the goal.

“There are still many games to play,” he said. “Everyone can beat everyone, so things can quickly turn around. We have to win our games. Number five can also be a position for the Champions League, so we have to fight for it.”
