Mohamed Salah injury

Mohamed Salah Set to Miss Luton Town Clash, Doubtful for EFL Cup Final

Liverpool‘s star forward, Mohamed Salah, faces a race against time to recover from injury ahead of crucial fixtures, with reports suggesting he is set to miss Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Luton Town and is doubtful for Sunday’s EFL Cup final against Chelsea.

Salah to Make His Injury Return Soon

Salah, who last started for Liverpool on New Year’s Day against Newcastle United, suffered a muscle injury while representing Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite returning to action with Liverpool in their recent victory over Brentford, Salah’s cameo appearance reportedly led to a recurrence of the same muscle injury.

Ahmed Shoubir, a presenter on Egyptian TV station OnTimeSports, revealed that Salah is unlikely to feature in the upcoming Premier League match against Luton Town at Anfield due to this setback.

Shoubir’s comments have raised concerns about Salah’s availability for Liverpool’s EFL Cup final showdown against his former club, Chelsea, at Wembley Stadium.

Salah’s absence would be a significant blow to Liverpool, as the 31-year-old has been a key contributor this season, tallying 19 goals and 10 assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is already grappling with a growing injury list, with players like Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Dominik Szoboszlai, Joel Matip, and Stefan Bajcetic currently sidelined. Jota, in particular, could be facing an extended period out of action after suffering a knee injury.

In addition to Salah, midfielders Curtis Jones and Darwin Nunez were withdrawn during the Brentford match due to injury concerns and will be assessed ahead of the Luton Town clash.

As Liverpool navigates through this injury crisis, fans anxiously await updates on Salah’s condition and hope for a swift recovery as they aim to secure silverware in the EFL Cup final and maintain their Premier League title challenge.
