The Egyptian has almost gone bald
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has posted a new picture of himself wherein he has shaved his head almost entirely. The Egyptian ace, after wrapping up the 2023-24 season, is currently enjoying his holidays, and is sporting a new look.
In his seventh season with the Anfield outfit, Salah netted 25 goals in all competitions as Liverpool won the Carabao Cup. During this run, his overall tally for the Reds crossed the 200-goal mark, and it currently stands at 211 in all competitions.
Following a hectic season, which also saw Jurgen Klopp depart after nine years at the helm, Liverpool stars are now on their holiday. In his first post-season update, Salah posted a picture of himself in a new look, tucked away in casual wear.
He also captioned the photo with a laughing and sweating emoji.
The post on Instagram has garnered over 800,000 likes and over 16,000 comments. References to next Liverpool manager Arne Slot were inevitably made, with fans jokingly asking Salah if the Dutch coach is the inspiration behind going bald.
Salah enters his final year with Liverpool
Mohamed Salah is now into the final year of his contract with Liverpool. Talks of an extension haven’t come to pass yet, and there are reports of interest from Saudi Pro League. However, a move away from Anfield this summer is unlikely, as Liverpool are reluctant to lose two important figures in the same year, with Jurgen Klopp stepping down from the post of their manager. Salah will be integral to shaping the club’s new era under Arne Slot, who is set to officially take charge from 1 June.
