N'Golo Kante Euro 2024

N’Golo Kante Hints at European Return After Stellar Euro 2024 Start

Kante’s Remarkable Performance for France

Ex-Chelsea star N’Golo Kante has suggested he may return to Europe following his strong performances in the UEFA Euro 2024 with France.

After leaving Chelsea for Al-Ittihad last July Kante has continued to impress on the international stage. He played a pivotal role in France’s 1-0 victory over Austria and their 0-0 draw against the Netherlands clocking in 180 minutes of action.

At a pre-game press conference Kante was asked if he had finished his career in Europe. His response was optimistic:

“No, it’s not over. I appreciate the feedback. In Saudi Arabia, it’s new football, a new experience. Finding these feelings again with the French team is beautiful, it touches me, we want to do well. But that’s not a question I’m asking myself today.”

Kante who was instrumental in France’s 2018 FIFA World Cup win further added saying,

“I feel good. Last season went well with Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia. We had a good preparation with the French team. At the moment, I feel good. I hope this continues. In any case, there are the players needed to replace me if ever there is a problem, but I want to continue, to give the maximum.”

Kante’s Impact and Future Prospects

the 33-year-old has enjoyed a fine debut season with Al-Ittihad by scoring four goals in 44 matches. His performance at Euro 2024 demonstrates that he still has much to offer at the highest level of European football.

Fans and analysts alike are keen to see if Kante will make a return to Europe where his experience and skills could greatly benefit many top clubs.

Calls for Cole Palmer in England’s Lineup

In related Euro 2024 news there have been calls for England manager Gareth Southgate to start Chelsea’s Cole Palmer in their upcoming match against Slovenia. Former England international Chris Sutton expressed his confusion over Palmer’s omission in the first two games.

“One thing which I have found quite baffling is the omission of Cole Palmer. I think given the season he had at Chelsea, it’s quite baffling for him not to have been given any game time in the opening two games,” Sutton told Metro.

Sutton suggested that Palmer could add creativity to the team, saying,

“I would play [Declan] Rice alongside Jude Bellingham because he can be a six or an eight or a 10 and I would find a way to get Cole Palmer into the team. If we’re searching for that bit more creativity, then he’s the perfect player to provide it.”

The 22-year-old has been impressive since joining Chelsea from Manchester City by scoring 25 goals and providing 15 assists in 45 outings. England currently tops Group C with four points from two matches and fans will be eager to see if Southgate heeds Sutton’s advice and gives Palmer a chance to shine.
