Fans were shocked after watching this video. However, It was later confirmed that Nuno Tavares is a dog lover and the viral video was not recent. It has previously got the attention of fans when Arsenal signed Tavares from Benfica.
The viral clip shows Portugue left back who currently plays for Nottingham Forest on a loan move from Arsenal, lying in a bed before a dog proceeds to lick his face and mouth.

Following the viral video, One Forest fan wrote on X.com: “As a Nottingham Forest supporter I am disgusted about this! To see our left-back video himself doing this is shocking it would be a real shame if we had to send him back to Arsenal!”

Nuno Tavares, originally from Cape Verde, started playing soccer with Benfica and joined Arsenal in July 2021 for £8m. He made his Arsenal debut in August 2021 and scored one goal in 22 appearances. In September 2023, he went on loan to Nottingham Forest with a £12 million option to buy. So far in the current Premier League season, he hasn’t scored in his four appearances.
