Victor Osimhen eyes PSG move over Chelsea
Napoli’s star striker Victor Osimhen has thrown a wrench in Chelsea’s transfer plans this summer.
Despite the Blues’ persistent attempts to bring the Nigerian to Stamford Bridge Osimhen is reportedly holding out for a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old forward who scored 17 goals in 32 Serie A appearances last season is not keen on joining Chelsea largely because the club won’t be playing in the Champions League this season.
This development has left both Chelsea and Napoli in a bind. Chelsea who are eager to strengthen their attacking options have been in talks with Napoli for months.
They even considered including Romelu Lukaku in a swap deal to sweeten the offer. But Osimhen’s reluctance to move to London has stalled these negotiations leaving Napoli frustrated.

Napoli’s Lukaku Dream Hinges on Osimhen
While Osimhen’s future remains uncertain, Napoli’s hopes of landing Romelu Lukaku also hang in the balance.
The Belgian forward who has previously played for Inter and Roma is reportedly interested in joining Antonio Conte at Napoli. But this potential swap deal with Chelsea is at a standstill due to Osimhen’s preference for PSG.
Napoli have set a high asking price of €100 million for Osimhen, a fee that PSG is reportedly closer to meeting than Chelsea.
With the clock ticking on the transfer window Napoli faces the risk of losing out on both Osimhen and Lukaku as the Nigerian striker’s desire to play for PSG may derail their plans.
As the transfer saga continues, eyes are on whether Osimhen will get his desired move to Paris or if Chelsea can pull off a last-minute deal.
