Arsenal FC
Owner – Stan Kroenke
American businessman Stan Kroenke acquired 100% percent of Arsenal under his company Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. He also owns other sports teams including the LA Rams, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Rapids.
Aston Villa FC
Owner – Wes Edens & Nassef Sawiris
The Villans are threatening to become a force once again in the Premier League under the management of Unai Emery. Huge amounts of cash has been pumped into the club in recent years and the owner’s wealth has a lot to do with it. Nassef Sawiris, youngest son of Egyptian billionaire, Onsi Sawiris acquired a 55% controlling stake in Aston Villa in 2018 after previous owner Xia Jiantong was unable to get the club promoted.
AFC Bournemouth
Owner – William P. Foley
The Cherries were sold to Black Knight Football Club, a partnership group led by Bill Foley in December 2022. The former American attorney also has a minority stake in the French club, FC Lorient.
Brentford FC
Owner – Matthew Benham
Matthew Benham, a long-time Brentford fan took full control of Brentford in June 2012 when the club was in the third tier of English football. Benham has amassed most of his fortunes from Smartodds, a statistical research company he founded for professional gamblers.
Brighton & Hove Albion
Owner – Tony Bloom
The life-long Seagulls supporter, Tony Bloom took over the club in 2009, leading Brighton all the way to the Premier League and making them one of the highly-coveted teams in England.
Burnley FC
Owner – Alan Pace
Alan Pace, managing partner of ALK Capital took over Burnley in November 2020 purchasing an 84% stake in the English club.
Chelsea FC
Owner – Clearlake Capital Group, Todd Boehly, Mark Walter & Hansjorg Wyss
Chelsea spent over £1 billion over the last few transfer windows and the numbers have been nothing short of astonishing. The Blues are technically owned by private equity firm Clearlake Capital but it is Todd Boehly who has gotten all the headlines since their takeover in May 2022. The American businessman also owns a stake in the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team.
Crystal Palace FC
Owner – John Textor, David Blitzer, Josh Harris & Steve Parish
One of the co-owners, Josh Harris has been the chairman of Crystal Palace since 2010. He co-owns NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers along with David Blitzer.
Everton FC
Owner – Farhad Moshiri
Monaco-based businessman Farhad Moshiri became a major shareholder in 2016 by purchasing 49.9% of Everton which he then increased to 94% in January 2022. He has recently sold the club to American investment firm 777 Partners.
Fulham FC
Owner – Shahid Khan
Pakistani-American businessman Shahid Khan is the first person of color to own an NFL team Jacksonville Jaguars. He took over control of Fulham in 2013 and has overseen a number of promotions and relegations in the Premier League since then.
Liverpool FC
Owner – John W. Henry & Tom Werner
Fenway Sports Group, owned by billionaires John W. Henry and Tom Werner, are the current owners of English giants Liverpool. Since then, their tenure has been a positive one and the club has become increasingly profitable.
Luton Town FC
Owner – David Wilkinson
The fan-created foundation named ‘2020 Holdings LTD’ owns 100 per cent of the issued share capital of the Hatters. David Wilkinson who is a lifelong Luton fan was voted chairman in 2018.
Manchester City
Owner – Abu Dhabi United Group
Manchester City is owned by the Prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mansour. It is technically owned by the Abu Dhabi United Group, backed by Sheikh Mansour.

Owner – Glazer Family and Sir Jim Ratcliffe
Sir Jim Ratcliffe purchased 27% of Manchester United in February 2024 and has been given control of football operations. But the majority is still owned by the Glazer family who aren’t exactly wanted by the majority of the Red Devils’ fanbase.
Newcastle United
Owner – Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund
The Magpies have the wealthiest owner in the Premier League as they are owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. After Mike Ashley’s departure, Newcastle have found themselves in the Champions League and have a bottomless pit of money at their disposal.
Nottingham Forest
Owner – Evangelos Marinakis
Nottingham Forest gained their promotion to the top flight in the 2021/22 season and a big factor in their recent resurgence was Greek shipping magnate Evangelos Marinakis. The businessman bought 100% of Nottingham Forest’s shares from Fawaz Al-Hasawi in 2017.
Sheffield United
Owner – Abdullah bin Musa’ed
Sheffield United owner Prince Abdullah Bin Musa’ad purchased 50% of Sheffield United back in 2013. The value of the Blades has skyrocketed since bin Musa’ed took charge of the club after a High Court decision in 2019.
Tottenham Hotspur
Owner – Joe Lewis & Daniel Levy
Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy are the majority owners of the North London club and have the longest-standing ownership in the Premier League.
West Ham United
Owner – David Sullivan & Daniel Kretinsky
David Sullivan and David Gold acquired a 50% stake in West Ham United back in 2010 which they later increased to 90% before selling 20% to Daniel Kretinsky in 2021 to clear debts of the club. After the death of David Gold in 2023, his shares were retained by her daughter Vanessa.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Owner – Guo Guangchang
Guo Guangchang has transformed Wolves since becoming their owner in 2016. They got promoted to the Premier League in 2017 and has remained in the top-flight ever since.
