Sheffield United beat Preston North End 2-0 in their Championship game. Oliver Luke Arbiaster opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Gustavo Hamer struck in the 55th minute. Sheffield managed a comfortable 2-0 win.

Freddie Woodman– 6: His horrific error made Preston concede the second goal.

Jack Whatmough– 7.5: Was perhaps one of Preston’s best players. he did some good aggressive defending.
Liam Lindsay– 6.5: While did his defensive duties well, Lindsay failed to flourish in possession.
Andrew Hughes– 6: Failed to combine with teammates to good effect and had an uninspiring outing.
Brad Potts– 6.5: Potts didn’t play at his usual level and apart from the odd spark, he did nothing substantial.
Midfielders:
Ben Whiteman– 6: Another uninspiring performer who lacked possession.
Stefan Thordason– 7.5: Perhaps Preston’s Player of the Match in a disappointing game. He did well moving forward with the ball.
Robbie Brady– 6: Disappointing performance with the entire team setting the bar low.
Sam Greenwood– 6: Was mostly on the fringes and never got going.

Will Keane– 6: Was not at all involved during the course of the game.
Emil Riis– 6: Another player who struggled to get going during the game.

Adam Davies– 7: Came out of the game with a clean sheet and didn’t have much to do apart from one save.

Alfie Gilchrist– 7: Showed quality in his club debut.
Anel Ahmedhozic– 7: Cruised through the game and kept a clean sheet.
Jack Robinson– 7.5: Played well and stopped a dangerous Preston move by putting himself on the line.
Harrison Burrows– 7: Impressed in his Championship debut and showed a willingness to move forward.
Midfielders:
Vini Souza– 8: Was instrumental in Sheffield’s opening goal as he won the ball back from Preston.
Oliver Arblaster– 8: A day to remember for the player as he scored his first senior goal for Sheffield.
Andre Brooks– 8: Looked threatening throughout the game and always tried to make things happen in the attacking front.
Callum O’Hare– 7.5: Took up the number 10 role with responsibility and tried creating chances.
Forwards–
Gus Hamer– 8: Looked shaky at the start of the game and squandered chances. However, he scored a delightful lobbed goal to double Sheffield’s lead.
Kieffer Moore– 7: His effort early in the game was ruled out. Moore looked toothless for the majority of the game.
