PSG vs Rennes Player ratings as Kylian Mbappe strikes, puts champions into cup finals

PSG vs Rennes Match Overview

PSG beat Rennes 1-0 at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday to reach the Coupe de France finals. Kylian Mbappe scored the only goal of the game in the 40th minute to set up a mouthwatering showdown with Lyon in the showpiece clash on 25 May.

The Parisians were the overwhelming favorites to prevail, coming into the match on the back of a 25-game unbeaten run. However, it took some time for them to get going. Mbappe missed a big chance early on before seeing a penalty saved by Steve Mandanda.

He got third time lucky, though, as the striker broke the deadlock in the 40th minute when his shot found the back of the net following a slight deflection. Rennes, who spent much of the game in their own half, couldn’t produce any response to Mbappe’s strike.

PSG are into the Coupe de France finals for the first time since 2021 and aim to win a record-extending 15th title in the competition. Here are PSG vs Rennes Player Ratings:-
