Real Madrid target Lille center back Leny Yoro

According to famed sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have identified Lille center back Leny Yoro to add to their defense. The news follows on the heels of news of club legend and center back Nacho’s imminent departure in June after spending more than a decade at the club.

However, the operation could prove to be tricky with PSG interested in signing the young center back as well. While Los Blancos have apparently already been in contact with the defender and his agent Jorge Mendes, it remains to be seen who the player will eventually sign for. As of now, Lille haven’t finalized a price tag for the French defender.

This season Lille center back Leny Yoro has attracted several other top clubs as well with his impressive performances in the heart of Lille’s defense. The 18-year-old has started 26 times in Ligue 1 this season and has managed to aid the club to a stupendous 13 clean sheets in the league. His ability to handle responsibility at a young age certainly makes him a long term prospect, enticing several big clubs including PSG and Real Madrid.

Nacho set to depart from Real Madrid

As Real Madrid eye Lille center back Leny Yoro to bolster their defense next season, the club will also attempt to fill a gaping hole in their defense with the departure of Nacho imminent. The Spanish defender has informed Real Madrid of his intention to leave at the end of the season, according to Marca.

Nacho’s contract at Madrid is set to expire in June and it seems that after spending more than a decade with the first team of Los Blancos, the Spanish defender seems to be tempted to explore greener pastures next season. Many consider the player a club legend, having spent his entire career at Real Madrid.

Fans would love to see the defender have a glorious send off as Real Madrid are inching closer to winning LaLiga and have set a semi final date with Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. Real Madrid and Nacho will be in action on Sunday as they take on  FC Barcelona in perhaps Nacho’s last El Clasico.
