Real Sociedad are considering selling their striker Umar Sadiq this summer as the Nigerian player has faced many injuries since joining the team which might influence the club’s decision to sell him.
Transfer Concerns and Financial Pressure
The Basque club is expected to make some changes to their squad soon. However, missing out on UEFA Champions League football means they have less money to sign new players and this financial strain makes it harder for them to improve their team.
At the same time, other teams are interested in Real Sociedad’s key players as Atletico Madrid are looking at defender Robin Le Normand while Arsenal are also chasing midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
Umar Sadiq’s Future in Doubt
According to Diario AS, Real Sociedad are open to all options regarding Umar Sadiq. Injuries have been a big problem for him since he joined from Almeria in 2022. He has spent a lot of time recovering instead of playing.
Local rivals Alaves are interested in signing Sadiq but Real Sociedad, however, will want to get back as much of the €20 million they spent on him less than two years ago.
The next few weeks will be crucial for Real Sociedad as they decide the future of their striker and make necessary adjustments to their squad.
