Chelsea are reportedly looking to bring in Roberto Firmino on a six-month loan deal from Al-Ahli in the ongoing January transfer window.
Firmino left Liverpool last summer and moved to the Saudi Pro League to join Al-Ahli. He has failed to impress, though, scoring just three goals and providing three assists in 19 games across competitions for Matthias Jaissle’s side. Those three goals came as a hat-trick in his first game for the club.
He has also lost his place in the starting XI and only featured as a substitute in the last seven Saudi Pro League games. Hence, Firmino is open to leaving Saudi Arabia and returning to the Premier League. According to The Telegraph, Chelsea could be a potential option for the Brazilian striker.
The Blues are struggling in the striking department this season. Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja have scored just 10 goals between them across competitions. Meanwhile, Christopher Nkunku has had to deal with numerous injury issues and has made just four appearances this season.

Chelsea have been linked with Victor Osimhen but the Napoli striker could be too expensive for a transfer right now. Hence, the Blues could sign Firmino on loan until the summer, with the Brazilian’s contract with Al-Ahli expiring in 2026.
The west London side have also been linked with a loan move for Karim Benzema, who is expected to leave Al-Ittihad, having joined them last summer from Real Madrid.
