Portugal’s record goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo has been plying his trade in the Middle East for the past two years and is reportedly drawing twice the salary of former PSG and Barcelona star Neymar.
The 39-year-old forward is the highest-paid footballer in the world as Saudi Pro League’s top-10 highest-paid salaries list was revealed ahead of the 2024/25 season. According to Capalogy.com, Ronaldo pockets the highest annual salary in the Saudi Pro League.
Ronaldo earns a whopping €200m in wages annually, exactly double that of the league’s second-highest earners Karim Benzema and Neymar. The Saudi League has developed into a prime destination for athletes who approach the twilight years of their careers.
This summer, the league has been linked with some high-profile stars including Alisson, Casemiro, Ederson, Kevin de Bruyne, and Virgil van Dijk to name a few.
