Sheffield United vs Arsenal Preview, Prediction and Betting Tips

Sheffield United vs Arsenal Match Preview

Bottom-of-the-barrel Sheffield United will host third-placed Arsenal at Bramall Lane in the Premier League on Monday, March 4.

Moving forward with the Sheffield United vs Arsenal preview, The Blades enter this contest on the back of a dismal run of form. They have won one and lost five of their last six games across competitions. In that time, Sheffield have conceded a whopping 20 goals and scored just five. They are currently 20th and are 11 points from safety, making them one of the strong favourites to go down. They narrowly lost 1-0 to Wolves in the last game and were looking to do their best in the next one.

The Gunners, on the other hand, are polar opposites in terms of form. They have won six games in a row in the Premier League, scoring 25 goals in the process and conceding just three. With 58 points from 26 games, they are just two behind league leaders Liverpool. Arsenal demolished Newcastle United 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium in their last game as four different scorers got on the board. They were looking to continue their stunning run of form against the Blades.

That said, let’s take a look at the team news coming out from both camps.

Manager Chris Wilder has a considerable number of injuries to deal with ahead of the next game. The trio of Ben Brereton Diaz, George Baldock and Cameron Archer missed the last game but could be back in contention for the next one.

Meanwhile, long-term absentees John Egan, Chris Basham, Tom Davies and Max Lowe remain sidelined for Sheffield. Elsewhere, Mason Holgate still has two more games left after a straight red against Brighton on February 18.

Arsenal

Manager Mikel Arteta will have a much shorter injury list to deal with ahead of their trip to Sheffield. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus have returned to full training, meaning they could be in with a chance to feature.

Thomas Partey (hamstring) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (calf) are back in training but a few days away and could be in-line to feature in the game after this one. However, Jorginho suffered a late injury in the win against Newcastle and will be assessed in the 11th hour to determine his availability.
