In a potential transfer coup, RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner is reportedly on the brink of a return to the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur securing the spotlight for his temporary services for the remainder of the season, according to Sky Germany.

As negotiations between the clubs reach their final stages, crucial details of the loan deal are being hammered out. The discussion includes considerations such as whether to include an option for Tottenham to buy Werner at the end of the loan period. Despite previous links with Manchester United, it appears that Spurs have edged ahead in the race to secure the German striker.

Werner’s challenging second season at RB Leipzig, marked by a meagre two goals in the Bundesliga, has prompted the decision for a loan move.
