Tottenham Hotspur host Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday for a clash in the Premier League. The Lilywhites are looking to pick themselves up from a 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last top-flight match. A brace from Joao Gomes condemned Spurs to a sixth league defeat of the season resulting in another blow to their Champions League hopes.

With 47 points from 25 games, the London side are sitting on fifth position on the table, trailing the top-four by five points with a game in hand. Indeed, their form has been sloppy lately, with Ange Postecoglou’s side winning only three of their last seven games in the league. Interspersed between this run was a 1-0 home loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup, as Tottenham were dumped out from the competition in the fourth round.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are down in 13th place of the league rankings, having accrued only 28 points from 26 games so far. All three of their goals were scored after the break as the Clarets played with 10-men for over an hour after Josh Brownhill’s red card in the 35th minute.

With a goal-difference of -13, Palace are better off of only five sides in the division: Bournemouth (-14), Nottingham Forest (-14), Luton Town (-16), Burnley (-33) and Sheffield United (-44).

Ryan Sessegnon is nursing a hamstring injury and he isn’t expected to return for the clash either. Having found some rest over the last few days, the players will be screened ahead of the kick-off to determine their availability. Giovani Lo Celso returned from a thigh problem in their last game, making an appearance off the bench. He will be gunning for a start at the weekend.
