Group standings and points table after Round 3 of UEFA EURO 2024

The UEFA Euro 2024 has reached the end of its group stage and it has been narrowed down to 16 teams, who will compete in the first round of knockouts – Round of 16. The group stage was arguably one of the best group stages we’ve witnessed at Euros over the years, with drama and excitement redefined.

Most of the big guns fired well while some teams that were expected to falter did really well. Favorites France couldn’t get a single goal from open play in three games while Spain was the only team with a perfect record in the group stage. Hosts Germany also remained unbeaten as well while Georgia incredibly qualified for the knockouts on their debut in a major tournament.

England also topped their group and remained unbeaten but were heavily criticized for their performance. Croatia, meanwhile, suffered a heartbreaking exit from the ‘Group of Death’ as Spain and Italy qualified.

Austria surprisingly topped the group comprising France and the Netherlands while Romania sat atop Group E over Belgium. The results have now seen France, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, and Spain all on the same side of the draw. Only one of these teams can reach the Euro 2024 final. The other side, meanwhile, has the likes of England, Italy, and Switzerland.
