One of the oldest and most competitive competitions in Asia, the Saudi Pro League features many of the greatest athletes from across the globe. Luis Muriel (Al Shabab), Moussa Marega (Al Ittihad), and Moussa Dembélé (Al Nassr) are a few of the noteworthy players who are presently competing in the league.
The first match of Matchweek 8 was between Al-Hazm and Al-Taawoun. Al-Taawoun secured victory as midfielder Toze and Sattam Al Roqi scored the winning goal for their team. Al-Hilal continues to play stunning games throughout the Saudi Pro League for the 2023–24 season. Although the 2023–24 Saudi Pro League series has only just begun, it is already proving to be quite mesmerizing.
Al Ittihad remains the reigning champions, although there are plenty more groups who might contend with them. Al Taawoun is second in the standings with 13 points, next to Al Nassr having 13 points, and Al Ittihad is now in first place with 13. With 10 points apiece, Al Hilal along with Al Ettifaq are tied, but Al Hilal leads on goal difference.

2023–24 Saudi Pro League Standings & Table
- With twenty points after 8 games, Al Hilal SFC is the league’s current leader in Saudi Arabia. Al-Ittihad Club as well as Al-Taawoun FC, both of which have 19 points, are closely behind them. Al-Ettifaq FC is in fifth position with 17 points, while Al-Nassr FC is in fourth with 18 points.
- The Saudi Pro League’s most impressive team thus far this year has been Al Hilal SFC. They lead the league in both goals scored (23) and goals allowed (just seven). Additionally, they have won six of their last six straight.
- This season, Al-Taawoun FC and Al-Ittihad Club have both performed well. In the eight games they have played thus far, they have separately won six. Even though Al-Nassr FC has had some inconsistency, they remain one of the league’s top teams.
- This season, Al-Ettifaq FC has been a pleasant surprise. For the first time in their existence, they placed in the top six in the Saudi Pro League.
- Al-Hilal has had a spotless beginning to the season and is presently second among the Saudi Pro-League Standings. In the team’s previous five games, four of them have ended in wins.
- Al-Ahli, a rival team from the city, continued their perfect start to the year.
- With three wins out of five games, Cristiano Rolando’s Al-Nassr is presently fourth in the rankings.
