USA vs Uruguay will be the final Group C game in Copa America 2024 and will take place at the Arrowhead Stadium on July 2 as they battle for the top spot.

The host nation will have work to do if they are to defeat their next opponents. The USA started off well with a 2-0 win over Bolivia, but fell to a shock 2-1 defeat against Panama in their last game to bring a stutter into their progress. They will need to avoid defeat at all costs or else a draw will take Panama through at their expense.

Manager Gregg Berhalter has deployed his strongest XI in both of USA’s games so far in the competition. However, he will be forced into making at least one change for the next one in the wake of Timothy Weah’s reckless red card against Panama, as well as custodian Matt Turner’s injury.

Ethan Horvath could start in goal if Turner isn’t declared fit in time, with Tim Ream and Chris Richards in central defence ahead of him. Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie will anchor the midfield, while Josh Sargent could get a start out wide on the right next game.
