Venezuela will take on Canada in the Copa America 2024 quarter-finals on Friday. Both sides had contrasting runs in the group stages but have reached the knockouts.
Canada lost in their opening game against Argentina but bounced back to beat Peru 1-0. They were then held to a goalless draw against Chile. They finished second in Group A with four points, five behind leaders Argentina.
Venezuela, meanwhile, had a perfect run in the group stage, beating Ecuador 2-1, Mexico 1-0 and Jamaica 3-0. They topped the group with nine points, five more than second-placed Ecuador.
Venezuela have looked in a much better touch in the competition so far and looks like the favorites coming into the match. However, Canada were arguably in a tougher group and still managed to reach the quarter-finals, which would be a big boost for them.

Venezuela vs Canada Prediction
Both sides have shown some promise but Venezuela have certainly been the better team. They have performed well in all of their three games and look like the favorites to reach the semi-finals.
However, Canada have also edged out results and shown fight in their three games, which is impressive considering they are a new team under a new manager. It is expected to be a tight match but Venezuela’s experience should help them reach the semi-finals.
