Every year the bottom three clubs on the points table get relegated to the EFL Championship division of English football. These teams are further replaced by the top three teams from the same EFL Championship competition getting promoted to the Premier League.

According to a recent report by ‘Businessday’, each of the 20 league positions is estimated to be raked around a sum of £3.1 million, getting the winner’s prize money of Man City for the 2022-2023 top-flight campaign to £62.3 million (20*3.1).
