Who will win the Euro 2024

Who will win the Euro 2024? All you need to know

With the latest entries from the three Paths in the qualifying round, Euro 2024 group stage is set. Poland, Ukraine, and Georgia secured the final three spots after finishing their respective play-off finals.

For Georgia, this is a historical moment because for the first time, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and co will play in the Euro group stage. The closest Georgia could get was in the 2020 edition when they lost to North Macedonia in the decisive match.

But all the attention is on the big names competing in the same group stage. Germany are favourites as they are in Group A alongside Scotland, Hungary, and Switzerland. Meanwhile, one of the most anticipated group showdowns is between two former champions Spain and Italy in Group B. Croatia and Albania will also be joining.

In Group C, England will have to compete with three underdogs Slovenia, Denmark, and Serbia. The 2000 champions France will face Netherlands who won the competition back in 1988. Both nations will also face Poland and Austria to secure the knockouts spot in Group D.

A more relatively fair competition occurred in Group E. Belgium are the most favourite to advance further. However, Romania, Hungary, and Ukraine are not to be taken lightly with potential surprises to happen.

At last, Cristiano Ronaldo will have another international major campaign as Portugal are in Group F. The 2016 champions are predicted to have a tough challenge from Turkiye with their exciting young team.

Knockout Scenario

The 90min published a prediction of four contestants that would go further until the semifinal. Germany, as a host, are favourite to step further. If Julian Nagelsmann’s squad manage to win the Group and secure the Round of 16 spot, they would face the runner-up of Group C which could be between Denmark or Serbia.

Another potential semifinalist would be Portugal who will be determined to win it for the last time for Ronaldo. Facing Germany would not be easy as Die Manschaft have shown how strong they were during the international break, beating both France and Netherlands by scoring two goals.

England are also in the positive run when it comes to playing in major tournaments since Gareth Southgate took over. They are in the mood of winning the Euro for the first time, planning revenge on Germany over their bitter ending in the 1996 edition.

France are still favourites in this tournament and is predicted to face The Three Lions in the final four phases. Les Bleus did it in Qatar World Cup two years ago and eliminating England from the tournament would be a to-do list for Didier Deschamps’ squad.

The Final Showdown

Germany would pass Portugal in the semifinal to reach their first final in 16 years. Ronaldo would end his international chapter with the national team in third place.

With a relatively consistent team in the last decade, France are favourite to beat England in the semifinal due to the squad depth they have. The Les Bleus players are setting their eyes on winning the trophy for the second time ever.

Playing on their own soil, Germany would go all out. Considering their current forms in friendlies, the only thing that could stop them from winning the trophy is themselves. Their fate is in their own hands or feet.
