Pedro Porro (born 13th September 1999) is a Spanish football player, who plays as a right-wing back for Tottenham Hotspur club in the English Premier League and the Spain National Team. Early Life Of Pedro Porro

Porro played for Rayo Vallecano and Gimnástico de Don Benito before joining Girona on August 10, 2017. Porro was born in Don Benito, Badajoz, Extremadura. To sign with the Catalans, he turned down offers from Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Bayern Munich. Alongside his younger brother, whom he is very close to, Pedro Porro’s youth was carefully monitored by his devoted grandparents. In his youth career, he played for Gimnástico Don Benito in 2008-15 seasons while for Rayo Vallecano club in 2015-17. 

Girona (Season 2017-19)

In the 2017-18 season, he performed for the Girona club in EPL. Before even making an appearance with the reserves, Porro made his team debut on November 28, 2017, when he entered as a late substitution for goal scorer Johan Mojica in a 1-1 Copa del Rey away tie against Levante. Five days later, he made his debut for the B-side, playing the final seven minutes of a 0-0 Segunda División B stalemate at Ebro.

Manchester City (Season 2019-22)

Porro signed a contract with Manchester City on August 8, 2019, reportedly paying £11 million. Porro was loaned to Real Valladolid in La Liga for a season right after joining Manchester City. After playing 13 league games and helping the Pucelanos finish in 13th place, Real Valladolid decided not to exercise their option to sign Porro permanently. The team had the option to sign the player permanently.

Sporting CP (Season 2022-23)

Porro arrived at Sporting CP on August 16, 2020, for a two-year loan that ran until June 30, 2022, with the possibility of a permanent transfer for €8.5 million (£7 million). In the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, on September 24, 2020, he made his club debut in a 1-0 victory at home against Aberdeen. On November 1, in a 4-0 victory over Tondela, he scored his first goal for the Leões.

Tottenham Hotspur (Season 2023-Present)

On February 11, Porro started the Spurs’ 4-1 loss to Leicester City, marking his debut for the team. Tim Sherwood, the previous manager of the Spurs, criticized Porro’s performance, calling it “so bad it’s unbelievable”. On March 18, 2023, in a 3–3 away tie against Southampton, he scored his first goal for the team.

Pedro Porro’s International Career

In a 2-1 victory over Georgia on March 28, 2021, he made his international debut. Porro did not play in the 2021 UEFA Nations League Finals in Italy, but he was included in the final squad that represented Spain and placed second overall.
