Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) took a healthy 2-0 lead in the first leg of their Round of 16 clash against Real Sociedad at the Parc des Prince on Wednesday, February 14.
The Parisians started the game well with Kylian Mbappe squandering an excellent opportunity. However, Real Sociedad grew into the game and did well for most of the first half. However, they failed to create a clear-cut chance aside from Mikel Merino’s long-range effort hitting the crossbar.
PSG showed much improvement in the second half and were rewarded in the 58th minute via a goal from Kylian Mbappe. Bradley Barcola doubled their lead in the 70th minute and it was enough to secure a good advantage in the first leg.
The second leg of the tie will be played at the Anoeta Stadium on March 5.
