Manchester United have good news for their fan base around the world. United’s current top season scorer Rasmus Hojlund is expected to be fit when they face Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final. At least that is what Denmark national team coach Kasper Hjulmand told the media.
Hjulmand admitted that he was in touch with Erik Ten Hag regarding the player’s situation. If nothing happens, Hojlund will be a huge boost for United’s front line to secure the semifinal spot.

“Rasmus will play on Sunday against Liverpool and must go through the match well,’ Hjulmand told Danish media outlet Campo via Mirror. “That’s what we expect. We are in contact with United.
Rasmus Hojlund is likely to play against Liverpool
“I have talked to Erik and we expect it to happen. But it is clear that he has to get through the game, and there must be nothing on the other side for that to be possible.”
United were struggling without Rasmus Hojlund’s presence who has been out since the fourth week of February due to muscle problems. The Danish youngster missed three matches for United, the amount of games where United only managed to score more than one goal once.
Hojlund is not the only name expected to return soon for United. The £60 million midfielder Mason Mount is also close to get back his feet on the pitch again after Erik Ten Hag confirms.
Mason Mount is another boost prior to the FA Cup fixture
The FA Cup is an important catch for United since it was the last possible trophy they can win this season. The Premier League has been out of reach as they sit sixth with two months remaining. Meanwhile in the Champions League, United even failed to advance from the group stage, finishing at the bottom of the table.
United are the second most successful club in the FA Cup, winning it 12 times. Only Arsenal have won more than they do. A victory over Liverpool not only could get them close to their 13th title, but also as a matter of pride against the archrival.
