In the past two seasons, Faf Du Plessis led the RCB and was an inspiring leader however, he wasn’t able to win the title and with his future uncertainty, the team now looked ahead of him by dropping him from the squad.

This team went into the final three times (2009, 2011, 2016) but never won the title yet. The new captain will have a huge responsibility on his shoulders to lead a star-studded squad having players like  Virat Kohli, Tim David, Bhubaneswar Kumar, Krunal Pandya, Josh Hazlewood, And Phil Salt.
