Gameweek 21 of the Fantasy Premier League season is soon going to be upon us. In the context of that it is important to look at how the last GW went. Gameweek 20 took place last weekend and threw up several interesting things to take note of. The stars of the show in the previous GW were Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford who managed a tally of 19 points, Raul Jimemez who had a total of 13 points from Fulham and Erling Haaland of Manchester City who too managed a tally of 13 points. The fixture to keep an eye out for this week is the North London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal with both sides desperately needing a win.
FPL risers
Player | Club | Price |
Milos Kerkez | Bournemouth | £4.8m |
Mohamed Salah | Liverpool | £13.7m |
Raul Jimenez | Fulham | £5.7m |
Savinho | Man City | £6.5m |
Lewis Hall | Newcastle | £4.9m |
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £13.7m
Mo Salah keeps rising and rising and rising in Fantasy Premier League. Out of the 20 matches so far this season, there has been just two in which Salah has not had goal contributions. He has a total of 18 goals and 13 assists already, which means he is the top scorer and top assister. He also leads FPL in points unsurprisingly. Salah’s record this season is absolutely bonkers and it is one of the reasons that Liverpool sit pretty at the top of the table. If the Reds can win the Premier League and/or the Champions League, there is very little doubt that Salah will be the Ballon D’or winner. The Egyptian has already risen a stunning £1.2m in price this season.

Raul Jimenez (Fulham) £5.7m
Raul Jimenez is one of the surprises of the season. While he was a top Premier League striker at Wolves, a cranial injury meant he was off form for a few years and everyone thought that is quality had diminished. But somehow this season, he has managed to prove everyone wrong, scoring 8 goals and assisting a further two so far as Fulham continue to perform beyond expectations. Jimenez has even managed to displace the younger Rodrigo Muniz from the starting XI as he continues to impress. It’s a feel-good story and a strong FPL option.
Savinho (Man City) £6.5m
The Savinho who rose to prominence at Girona and was signed by Manchester City seems to finally have hit the Premier League. Continually mocked for not getting a goal in his first couple of months in England, the Brazilian winger has been excellent as City have traded a run which brought 1 win in 13 for one where they have won 2 in 2. He has been excellent of late, with 4 of his total 6 goals contributed to, coming in the last couple of games. He is a box of tricks with immense potential and his duo with Erling Haaland is one that will fire for City a long time.
FPL fallers
Player | Club | Price |
Bukayo Saka | Arsenal | £10.2m |
Kyle Walker | Man City | £5.1m |
Kai Havertz | Arsenal | £7.8m |
Destiny Udogie | Spurs | £4.8m |
Brennan Johnson | Spurs | £6.4m |
Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) £10.5m
Bukayo Saka has incurred a hamstring injury and will therefore be unable to participate in Premier League matches for the coming weeks. He has undergone surgery for the injury but is anticipated to be sidelined for approximately 2 months. He is an extremely reliable FPL asset and was therefore owned by many, resulting in a scenario where several individuals have had to seek replacements for the Arsenal winger, which has led to his price decreasing. It will be fascinating to see if Arsenal drastically struggles in the absence of their vital player or if they can continue to chase the Premier League title.
Kai Havertz (Arsenal) £7.8m
Arsenal have failed to replicate the football of the last two seasons this time out and fans and FPL managers alike are running out of patience with Kai Havertz in particular. The German is on the midst of a slow season and many believe that the lack of a world class number 9 is what is stopping Arsenal from winning the league. He has 7 goals and 2 assists but he has also been missing a lot of clear cut chances. This has even seen Gabriel Jesus getting the starter berth ahead of him. Given all that it is not surprising to see Havertz dropping in price.
Kyle Walker (Man City) £5.1m
Kyle Walker’s time as one of the foremost defenders in the Premier League is without a doubt coming to an end now. Not long ago, he was one of the fastest footballers around but as the pace and physicality declined, it stopped covering the cracks. This season, Walker has been embarrassed multiple times by many wingers, with opponents targeting Manchester City‘s right side. He was at fault for many goals when City had a streak of 1 win in 13 games. Right now he finds himself outside the starting XI at the club, despite being the captain.
