Erling Haaland strikers early in the 18th minute to give Citizens a vital advantage in the first half. City maintained their lead until the 60th-minute mark when Kylian Mbappe pulled the defending European champions back in the game following a misjudged effort.
Subsequently, the Premier League side again took the lead through Haaland’s spot kick after Phil Foden was brought down in the penalty box by Dani Ceballos. They were leading until the game took a dramatic turn with Brahim Diaz and Jude Bellingham headed home two quick goals to secure 3-2 goals.

It’s very hard to analyze a game like that,” Leboeuf said, “where, in fact, it’s always when the team was at its worst that they scored a goal, and it’s when they felt good that they conceded a goal. But everything was strange for me in that game. Real Madrid were very good in the first 20 minutes, should have scored, and they conceded a goal.”
He added further, “Then Manchester City were better after scoring a goal, then they conceded a goal. And everything went the other way around, in the wrong way. So it makes me think that I enjoy it, because football is made of mistakes, if you don’t have any but there were so many so many everywhere.”
