Real Betis vs Barcelona Player Ratings: Barcelona concede a late dagger as they drop points

It was an exciting matchup at the Estadio Benito Villamarín, with Real Betis hoping to stop the mega train of the league leaders Barcelona, who are currently on an incredible run.

Real Betis started strong, troubling the Barcelona defence, but Inaki Pena kept them in the game. But Barcelona bounced back, attacking constantly and were rewarded with a goal when Jules Kounde laid an excellent low cross to Robert Lewandowski.

Betis came out firing in the second half, planning to make up for the missed chances in the game. They got a lifeline in a penalty when Frenkie de Jong fouled Vitor Roque in the box. Giovani Lo Celso calmly converted it, pulling Betis up. While Barcelona regained the lead again in the 82nd minute and looked like they were going home with all three points, substitute Assane Diao claimed a dramatic equaliser, which ended the game 2-2. While both teams deserved to get something out of it and it was a great spectacle overall, Barcelona will be disappointed to leave without the three points.

Diego Llorente: 6.5/10 – A commanding performance from the centre back, but Lewandowski was not troubled by him at all.
