Aston Villa vs Chelsea will kick-off at 8 PM (GMT), leaving traveling Chelsea fans miffed due to the change in kick-off time for a second time this month.
Aston Villa vs Chelsea will kick-off at a different time:
The weekend Premier league tie between Aston Villa and Chelsea has upset traveling Chelsea fans as the game has been shifted to 8 PM (GMT). This isn’t the first time Chelsea fans have had to endure a change in kick-off time as their tie against Sheffield United earlier this month saw kick-off being postponed by four hours.
The reason Aston Villa vs Chelsea will kick-off at a different time is now known, enraging several fans. The game is scheduled to be broadcasted by TNT Sports in England. However, as the West Ham vs Liverpool game is scheduled to be broadcasted by TNT at the same time, the need to postpone the game has arisen. Meanwhile, Sky will be broadcasting the tie between Brentford and Everton in the early evening, relegating the Aston Villa vs Chelsea tie to the 8 PM slot on Saturday night. While there was a possibility to air the game at 3 PM, the 3 PM blackout rule in England will prevent the game from being broadcast in that slot as well.
While Aston Villa vs Chelsea will kick-off on the weekend, Chelsea will be in action midweek as well as they take on Arsenal in a London derby.
