Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen Player Ratings as Andrich’s stunner canceled out by scorcher from Pavlovic

Bayern Munich hosted Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga as last season’s two frontrunners played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday, September 28.

The hosts began the game in dominant fashion and kept possession of the ball for extended spells as they looked to break Leverkusen down. They created multiple chances in the first half but were wasteful in front of goal. The visitors grabbed the lead in the 31^st minute with their only shot of the first period as Robert Andrich fired them 1-0 up following an assist from Granit Xhaka.

However, Leverkusen’s lead was short-lived as Bayern Munich struck back with a leveler just eight minutes later. Aleksandar Pavlovic scored a thunderbolt to restore parity for the hosts in the 39^th minute as the two teams entered the break deadlocked at 1-1.

The second half saw Bayern come out with a similar approach as the first as they dominated possession and also attempted a whopping 11 shots. However, they only managed two shots on target in that time. Leverkusen, on the other hand, attempted just two shots with just one of them on target.
