ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Full Squads of All Teams, Groups, and Key Updates

The stage is set for one of the most anticipated tournaments in the cricketing world, the ICC Champions Trophy, which is scheduled to begin on February 19, 2025, in Pakistan and UAE. Cricket fans from around the globe have fastened their seat belts to witness the battle between eight teams for the coveted Champions Trophy title. The tournament returns after a long wait of seven years, and the entire cricketing world has its eyes on this event.

ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 Teams and Groups:

Pakistan has secured the opportunity to host their first major global cricket tournament since the 1996 ODI World Cup. Both India and Pakistan are placed in Group A alongside Bangladesh and New Zealand, while Group B comprises Afghanistan, Australia, England, and South Africa. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.

India will begin their Champions Trophy 2025 campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh, followed by a highly anticipated clash against their arch-rivals Pakistan on February 23. They will conclude their group-stage matches against the Kiwis on March 2.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 teams:

England became the first cricket team to announce their 15-player squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy, making their announcement on December 22. However, they faced a setback when Jacob Bethell suffered a hamstring injury and had to withdraw from the team.

For India, Rohit Sharma has been appointed to lead the national team. Pakistan, the host nation of the tournament, has also recently announced their 15-member squad.

Australia initially selected their 15-player team but subsequently faced major setbacks with Mitchell Marsh, Pat Cummins, and Josh Hazlewood sustaining injuries, while Marcus Stoinis announced his retirement from one-day international cricket. The Australian team is yet to announce replacements for these players.

South Africa made one change to their squad, bringing in Corbin Bosch as a replacement for Anrich Nortje, who was ruled out due to a back injury.

According to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) regulations, all participating teams must submit their final squad lists by February 11.
