Patrik Schick’s brace helped Bayer Leverkusen beat Borussia Dortmund 2-3 on Friday in the Bundesliga to secure their sixth consecutive win in the league. This victory left Leverkusen with just one point behind Bayern Munich. On the other hand, Dortmund experienced their first home defeat in the game.

The match resumed after a three-week winter break, with Leverkusen scoring thrice within the first 19 minutes. In reply to that Dortmund managed to pull one back in the 12th minute through Jamie Gittens and then Serhou Guirassy’s penalty in the second half to make it two. Still Sahin’s side were not able to save the game.
